The Nari Fund

On November 21st, 2017 Alma Chef de Cuisine Matti Sprague and his wife Kelly welcomed a beautiful baby girl Nari Ann into the world.

Within days of her arrival, Nari was diagnosed with a rare and threatening genetic condition called “Pompe disease”. Pompe disease is a progressive condition where the body lacks the ability to produce an enzyme essential for processing glycogen. While fortunate that her diagnosis was made shortly after birth, there is no cure for Pompe. Nari will receive ERT (Enzyme Replacement Therapy) infusions for the rest of her life. Gratefully, the treatment plan has proven to be successful so far and Nari has made excellent progress in her early development!

To offer support for Nari Ann and her parents through such a difficult and costly process, we have decided to donate 50¢ from each purchase of selected dishes and desserts at Alma to help fund Nari’s treatment, and support her lifelong journey.

All proceeds raised by Alma will go directly to the Nari Ann Fund. To learn more about Nari, please go to You will find her full story there along with some super cute baby pictures.
